Her band Elida Reyna Y Avante, often called Elida Y Avante (EYA), is a Tejano group founded in the Rio Grande Valley in 1992 and has won Latin Grammy Awards. Their debut albums, Atrevete (1994) and Algo Entero (1996), both earned gold certification and gave rise to the hit songs “Luna Llena” and “Lagrimas De Amor.”

They received the “Revelacion Del Ao” award from “Billboard” Magazine and the distinction of “Rising Group of the Year” at the 1995 TTMA Industry Awards.
